Awareness of That Which is Not Awareness

What is aware of time?

Is not that which is aware of time, timeless?

What is aware of form?

Is it not that which is formless?

What is aware of space?

Is it not that which has no spacial dimensions?

Awareness is aware.

Sounds like an obvious statement but most people don't understand what exactly awareness is. Awareness does not think, awareness is simply aware. Most people associate awareness with the mind but awareness is not of the mind. Awareness observes the mind. Awareness is aware of the mind.

Awareness is the foundation of existance. Awareness is being itself.

In order to realize this awareness, we must become conscious of what is in our awareness. We must objectify the thoughtforms that we usually completely identify with.

If fear enters into my mind/body system, I can identify with the fear or I can become aware of the fear. I can realize that I am that which is aware of fear. I am not the fear, I am that which observes the fear in my mind/body system.

These archetypal energies, such as fear, are the very things which compose the mind. If you are thinking right now, you are identified with an archetypal energy. Perhaps, in this moment, you are identified with the rational mind, or perhaps you are identified with the skeptical/doubting mind, both of these thought-patterns are closely related. You may identify yourself as rational, but are you always rational? Is there ever an irrational though-pattern that possesses your mind? If you become conscious of these two opposing forces within you, then you can begin to realize the true nature of your being.
